Who Are the Dental Specialists of Ontario?
Thank you for visiting the Web Page of the Ontario Association of Dental Specialists. We are an organization representing all dental specialties in Ontario.
Dental specialists are the experts in their respective fields. Only registered dental specialists can claim this expertise, as they have all undergone extensive post-graduate training at recognized university programs for a minimum of two years AFTER completion of their undergraduate education in dental school.
Dental specialists accept referrals from general practitioner dentists, other dental specialists and from the public as well, where the specialist's advanced skills are needed to treat conditions that are beyond the scope of the family dentist.

What is OADS?
The Voice of Dental Specialists in Ontario! The Ontario Association of Dental Specialists, known as OADS was formed in 1992 in order to provide a common voice for dental specialists throughout Ontario. It consists of the nine recognized specialty societies.
The Purposes of OADS are:
To promote communication among the dental specialists in the Province of Ontario. To act upon concerns of mutual interest to the specialists. To encourage, foster and develop a recognition of the importance of specialists within the practice of dentistry.
